Calling a potential employer?
I sent in an online application to starbucks 9 days ago and I'm planning on calling them today (all of my friends and parents are telling I REALLY need to do that.)
The thing is, I have no idea what to say. What if the manager isn't even in?
Any advice on what to say?
What would be the best time to call in, in your opinion?
Any other random advice on how to snag this job? (I really want this job, not just for the sake of having a job, I really could see myself working as a barista through college)

call and be really bubbly and sweet and friendly, say hi my name is ______ im calling about an application i put in a little more than a week ago, i was wondering if i may speak to the manager please? always use please and thank you. i would call in the evening. just be very friendly and polite. thats a big one.
It would be worth calling! At least to see if they are hiring right now. You can mention you put in your application, and was just curious if they were hiring.
I don't think it's wise to call , just wait and see what happens.
