can a swap a paseo engine or corolla into my 5th gen tercel?
i recently had my 1998 toyota ttercel engina to go out. i also had to replace the transmission it was purchased by my feonce and nothing more than a lemon. i was wondering do i have to use another tercel motor and tranny or was it possible to fit in another toyota motor and tranny.

The Paseo drive train would be the easiest swap because the Paseo is based on the Tercel. The drive lines might even be identical between the Tercel and Paseo, depending on year.
The Corolla has different, 1.8L engines. It still may be possible to swap them, but more difficult.
