I have rented a flat in UK London and signed a contract for 12 month. However the traffic at night is pretty bad and cannot sleep because of it. Have tried earplugs but after 3-4 night they make my ears sore. Is there anyway I can break the contract? I don't mind if I didnt get my deposit back.

Talk to your landlord. They may agree to your breaking the lease for a fee. However, they are not required to. Traffic noise is beyond the landlord's control. Try heavy curtains to help block the noise.
Nope. The landlord can't control the traffic and you're the one that chose to rent the place without considering how noisy the street would be. When your lease is up, you can find a place on a quiet side street.
Unfortunately that's not a reason to break the lease. You can either pay the remaining balance and walk away now (which you might not have the money for), or you can hope that you can sublet the place with the landlord's permission.
do not pay attention to he individual above. in case you fail to pay your hire on time, regardless of in case you have proceedings, you will possibly be evicted. the only time which you will withhold hire if if a decide supplies you that appropriate. Your landlord seems to be engaged on the situation, in case you could not get delight quickly, touch your community landlord/tenant workplace for the subsequent step. I repeat, failure to pay hire is an evictable offence.
