can you answer my computer question?
I have a compaq presario x1000, I have two battery's for it.. I want to know how I can tell, on my computer, if the battery is charged. Like i've seen on other computers when you have the computer plugged in the wall, on the lower right hand side, there is a battery there.. well i don't have that..
Also, my battery doesn't hold a charge cause if i unplug my computer it shuts off?
might be a stupid question but why is that happening?

If when you turn off the computer or unplug it the time doesn't maintain the proper time then the battery or batteries are bad an should be replaced.
The batteries in computers are not rechargeable and will die after a period of time.
Remove the batteries and take them to a Radio Shack, Batteries Plus or a computer store so you can get the proper replacement batteries.
