Technically you can re-freeze it as many times you like, but i'm sure that's not the answer you are looking for.
once thawed, i do not recommend re-freezing unless you have a quick freeze device, like liquid Nitrogen.
The slow freezing turns the water inside the product to crystals. if these crystals are to big, because of slow freezing (like your household freezer), they cut trough the cell structure of your product. if you thaw it again, you'll loose a lot of liquids of the product and the taste wouldn't be great.
