Can you renew phone contracts?
I dropped my phone in a pool, and it's broke. All of the basic phones month to month cost over $200! Can I get a smartphone or basic phone for the price I would with an upgrade if I renew my contract with verizon? Do I have to pay $200 for a brand new basic junk phone?

I think you should be able to get a smartphone but you should go to a verzion store to be sure .
