You can do that easily, as long as she has the songs in her iTunes library. And the best part is, you don't even have to download or buy anything. here's how:
1.) (for now this is at her house) When her iPod is plugged into iTunes, check off the box that says "enable disk use". Then you can add music to it using Windows Explorer.
2.) Find her iPod in windows explorer. Drag her music from your iTunes library into her iPod, using windows explorer. If you don't have enough space, restore your iPod, don't add any songs back thru iTunes, and start again at step 1.
3.) In your computer's iTunes, go Edit>Preferences>Advanced(>General if using iTunes 7), and check off the box that says "Copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library". You have to do this step or else iTunes will not be able to find the songs when her iPod is unplugged.
4.) Then plug her iPod in to your computer, and drag the songs into iTunes from their location in Windows Explorer.
P.S. if she bought some of the songs through the iTunes Store, iTunes will tell you that the songs are "not authorized" to play on your computer. To fix this, all you have to do is attempt to play one of the songs in iTunes, and have her then sign in using the account that she purchased the songs with.
You can disable disk use now if you want, or leave it on if you have enough room.
I recommend leaving it on if you can, because it's a very good way to back up your songs if your computer breaks.
And one last thing, this will not transfer the specific playlists, just the music itself. You can arrange it into playlists however you like.
yes i have a cheat to do exactly what u want to do.
bt i don't want everyone to get it so email me at. They sell a program at best buy but its like 30 that's lame hit me up if you want it.

Have fun w ur new ipod bt u shud of purchased the touch its way cooler. Good Luck
u can buy a flash drive and copy all the songs to it then to ur itunes or u can buy a itunes library drive does the samething
haha purely sync your ipod or iphone and it might pass on, or once you plug it into the charger open up itunes and pass to my ipod on the left hand and then pass to songs and click on songs and verify the container that asserts all songs and playlists. that's going to purely receive the songs which you have checked. i desire i helped! =]
