Canon EOS Rebel II 35mm SLR?
Hello, does anyone know what kind of battery this type of camera takes? Please, serious answers, I am not in the mood for the jokers today.

You can use any Canon EF lens, including the 50 mm primes you mentioned. Full-frame compatible third party lenses are also useable. EF-S lenses, on the other hand, can't be used.
