Okay I am 16 and I am ready to get my first car but the there's a twist. I'm wanting to spend my pay check (Month=$1,000-$1,800) on upgrading my car with aftermarket parts (CAI, Turbo, Cat back, etc). I mostly want to upgrade interior and performance. My question is what car would be the cheapest and easiest to be able to upgrade/modify Cobalt/Civic/Supra. ONLY POST IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT! Car payments and insurance are already covered by my parents if I keep up my grades. (I know the insurance will go up if I upgrade)

supra....to me is a waste of money
has shytty performance out the gate(200ish horsepower for single turbo, unless you drop 30-50k for a factory twin turboed one...and still thats only about 300ish) and takes a ton of money to get to anything respectable...it just looks cool
civic...well you need a new motor(that you need to rebuild, if you have somebody else do it then have fun with that), new trans, new axles everything just to make that fast...and thats 10s of thousands of dollars just to make it RELIABLE-LY fast...and still its not that quick
cobalt...its an okay ride, looks cool(well the newer ones do, not the ones with the giant wing)
performance wise, it blows the civic and stock supra away
14 sec quarter miles
below 6 seconds to get to 60(not bad)
but mods...lemme tell you, i never touched a cobalt ss but i have touched an HHR SS and that has the same motor
GM has a tune, a ******* bad azz tune you plug in and lets you run more boost i think we dynoed the HHR at like 320 hp and 380 ft lb of torque or some **** like that im 70% sure the cobalt should get more
and thats way more than youll get from a civic and supra...for only like 800 bucks
anyway
what do i think you should do? being somebody who has messed with tons of GM performance cars i think you should get a trans am ws6...bad azz cars..scare women and children and wet your girlfriends panties...run 13 flat with shytty *** tires and into 12s with slicks, easy all day long...which would take a bit of moola with the other cars, quite a bit
mods are extensive, cam, heads headers exhaust turbo supercharger whatever theres way more(useful) for the LS1 than there is for those cars ^^^^

Lol Ok, Trick Question. If performance is the only issue, then of course, the Supra, Easiest to modify, Cheapest? not sure depending what part. Cheapest to modify and own is DUH the civic, it wont give u the same respect or the satisfaction as the supra will. Cobalt is just garbage.
i would go with a Civic they r the cheapest and easy to upgrade supra is way to much and if u go with the cobalt then get the SS with the supercharger already with it so u dont need to spend $4,000 on a new one it may not get u all the hp u want but its pretty fast and light
Civic is the easiest car to work with by far. The Supra is way too much work and the Cobalt is American. And American cars are way worse to mod.
Maintaining a Supra is expensive, especially after you mod it. The Civic would be your best bet. Good luck trying to get a supra, owners are smart and usually wont give their baby away to some noob ricer, even for a good price.
