Not exactly. Someone has to pay for the internet service, and now because IW is forcing PC users to use a matchmaking service like how consoles have for years, there will no longer be free maps or mods that are made by the modding community, who have built what COD is today. But no there is no additional cost other than the base internet service fee, which you probably don't pay.

That's a delicate situation. I wouldn't want to have to go to someone else's house just to play a game for hours. That just creates a sticky situation. After a few weeks I can imagine granddad saying do me a favor first or you can't do that until you do this. Or your dad saying you gotta do this before leaving the house or do that before going there. But on the other hand playing a FPS game on a console is just plain retarded unless you're using keyboard and mouse (sorry to all the kids who thought FPS was built around the gamepad).

If I had a gun to my head and was forced to choose one or the other, I would choose the 360. It's just too easy to use the computer as a 'carrot' against you.
