I want to hike a fourteener near colorado springs co. Besides Pikes Peak, were is the nearest fourteener? If you could, can you tell me the best way to hike this fourteener and some good info? Thanks!
Go West to the Presidential Range. I'm pretty sure they are ALL 14ers.
Always start very early in the morning...cause you want to plan to be DOWN from the top half or so before non. Bring layers of clothing, because it is much colder up at the top than at the bottom.
And make sure you have a gps beeper, just in case.

Mt. Evans is near Denver. No others near Colorado Springs. See map at 2nd site below. See 3rd site for a good guide book to the fourteeners.

I KNOW you aren't planning to do this alone.
