Now the core 2 duo e6300 is the mid range core 2 duo and the sempron 3400+ is the mid range sempron. Now this benchmark is multi threaded which means it can utilize multiple cores if a computer has them. Now the core 2 duo scores 4794. And the sempron scores 2601. Now in that benchmark which is multi threaded and evevn with mutiple cores being utilized in the bechmark the core 2 duo is not even 2 times faster then the sempron. Because 4794 divided by 2601 equals 1.84. So then the core 2 duo isn't much faster then a sempron afterall is it. So that means if they were both encoding a video and if the duo core encoded it in 200 seconds then the sempron would take 360 seconds. Which is not a big performance increase at all.

The sempron is not a dual core, and it's nowhere near as fast. Also, the sempron is old, it came out in 2004. And the core 2 duo came out in late 2006. A comparable AMD processor to the core 2 duo is the phenom.
Ok mathematician, good job. Now, if you are impatient, you should buy the Intel, but if you have more patience, buy the AMD CPU. What saith thou to that?
PS - I tried two different Semprons on different motherboards and decided they were a waste of money and time. I will NEVER buy one of those CPU's again. Essentially, Sempron is more equivalent to a Celeron - both of them being DAMAGED cores which have been resuscitated at the fab plant as second rate chips.
I don't think it is really appropriate to compare a Sempron to an EXXXX dual core Intel processor. I think the comparison ought to be made, Sempron to Celeron. Then we have a much more common sense comparison.
no longer a huge overall performance strengthen? nicely over 50% in case you suggested that 2 hundred seconds for the duo and 460 for the sempron. what in case you have a three hour vid to technique? feels like a huge diff 2 meh. neway semprons are old. study the greater moderen stuff from amd in case you opt to study processors.
