That was the beginning of NINJA loans: The bill was rewritten to include protections for the CRA, a pie sweetener for Democrats, which allowed inner-city residents to borrow money with No Income, No Job or Assets. Democrats and Republicans overwhelmingly voted in favor of the final draft and Clinton signed it with glee.

That one piece of legislation was a major cause of our current economic crisis. The CRA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley and the Commodities Futures Modernization Act of 2000 were the perfect storm.

republicans and democrats seem to be two sides of the same coin...they compromise when it comes to social issues, as in, make sure the both have the opposite view...very polarizing, so the people will stay divided...so they can finish whatever it is they are doing.
