Republicans Gramm, Leach and Bliley were forced to compromise their deregulation bill when Clinton threatened to veto it. That was the beginning of NINJA loans: The bill was rewritten to include protections for the CRA, a pie sweetener for Democrats, which allowed inner-city residents to borrow money with No Income, No Job or Assets. Democrats and Republicans overwhelmingly voted in favor of the final draft and Clinton signed it with glee.
That one piece of legislation was a major cause of our current economic crisis. The CRA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley and the Commodities Futures Modernization Act of 2000 were the perfect storm.
they have worked together before, the problem is now they are joined together at some higher level. And now it is a parade and a mockery when one side does anything, just a big show. that's what happens when everyone starts getting paid by the same guys in the end.
If team A is owned by Donald duck, and team b is owned by donald Duck, then it doesn't matter who wins.
republicans and democrats seem to be two sides of the same coin...they compromise when it comes to social issues, as in, make sure the both have the opposite view...very polarizing, so the people will stay divided...so they can finish whatever it is they are doing.
