I have a problem with my computer. It is an ASUS laptop model K50IJ with a pentium dual core at 2 GHz, 3 gigs of ram, and win 7 64 bit. The crash is becoming more frequent, especially within the last week or so. It is most common when i am using flash, like youtube or grooveshark. The screen freezes and nothing works, i cannot hit ctrl-alt-delete, or use my mouse at all. If there is audio playing, it will sound like a broken CD with one little bit (under a second) repeating loudly. I ran a full MSE scan and came up clean, then a malwarebytes scan that came up clean as well. I am a avid youtube consumer and want this error resolved ASAP. i am very knowledgeable with computers, so dont hesitate to use abbreviations or technical terms. BTW i am running the latest version of Firefox (6.0.2 i think) Thanks for reading!

If you are reasonably confident that the problem is not software or malware related; I suggest you consider the hard drive. You may be able to run a diagnostic scan with either utility software you already have installed or with the small utility built into the BIOS of some motherboards. Watch your machine carefully on Boot--you should be able to get into the setup quite easily by using whichever F# directed. You will not go directly to the BIOS but a Diagnostic Black Screen w/Menu. The prompt to "Check Drives" or something to that effect.
Good Luck.
