For the past 2 weeks my laptop has been acting very strangely. Whilst running a game such as League of Legends, When the game goes to a loading screen it sometimes crashes my computer and i have to restart. In addition when i turn the laptop on the display does not respond and i get a black screen. I have to then keep restarting the laptop until the display responds. Is there any fix i could do without having to send the laptop back to ASUS and get it repaired under the warranty? Also do you know what would happen to the laptop if i send it back i.e would i still have all my documents/programs or would they be erased? This is a link to the laptop itself and is the exact one i purchased around 6 months ago - http://www.ebuyer.com/281859-asus-g53sx-gaming-lap...
Update:The screen does work fine until it crashes. I restart the i get a lack screen and cannot get it to respond. All i can do is hold the power button until it turns off then try again.

these asus are prone to failure. Gt it done under warranty dont mess with it you could do a workaround solution but I have a feeling there is a modification the only a Engineer can do. we dont spend 5 years for nothing you know ?!
Do you even have any idea how many screws are in the bottom of the average KLaptop? and once you think you have them all out there are more its not easy leave it to the experts
Send it back, and save your §hit before you do.
To restart a machine for video suggests a driver issue. Does it work fine before you see your start screen? I would do a restore to factory settings before you send it back.
Dan,
same thing happens to me
