I have a windows xp and I took out a Ram Card from a Hp windows xp to add the extra card to my computer that im always using.but whem i put it in and try turning it back on it just beeps continuously and doesnt do anything.am i supposed to buy a special ram card.both pc's are new and i need help.

You need to buy memory that is compatible with your system. Obviously the ram you put in isn't.
Well..different RAM types won't work with other computers. If you took out the computers ram , and replaced it with this one, that may be it...
But..this is most likley it...you shot circuted everything ...
People Don't Get This...You HAVE to be grounded when working with computers...I prefer a cheap anti-static wristband at best buy for 8 dollars.
Sorry to tell you this , but the ram and the computer have a good chance of being dead.
It means the ram you are putting into that computer is not compatible with it. So it's not going to work. You will have to go out and buy some that will work with that computer.
