Ok so I got a microphone for my christmas present this year. It's not a USB that im using to connect, it's a jack 3.5 so it's a plug that is pink and i plugged it in the pink thingyyy you plug it into. I know for sure I plugged it in right but on my desktop Window's Vista, on the taskbar (the long line on the bottom of the screen) on the hidden icon place, i right click on the sound icon "Realtek HD Audio Manager" then click "Sound Recorder" it claims that an audio recording device could not be found. So I just need someone to guide me through the process to make the microphone work. It is a microphone by Connectland. You can comment or you can email me, which is best so you can tell me step by step and i can reply and such to get this microphone to work, my email is [email protected]
thanks you sooo much for your time!

Hey,
have you plugged it into the front or rear pink port of the computer tower because i guess you have a desktop computer, right? Can i also have the brand and model number of the computer you have?
I have also added a video from youtube and hope it helps you out.
Feel free to contact me on yahoo anytime, I am online 24*7.Even if it says that I am offline, I am online and you can message me on yahoo messenger too.
What I would do first, is instead of right clicking the Realtek icon and choosing sound recorder, first right click on the other small speaker icon that controls volume. When you right click it you should be able to click on "Recording Devices" and a window will open up. Once that window opens up you should be able to see your microphone and then if you click on it and then click on "Set as Default" you should be set to go!
