I have a windows XP Home Edition PC. Just yesterday it froze so i pressed reset, and the PC will not run. It loads up, goes to the windows loading screen (green III bars) and turns black. I can't see the mouse or anything. I can press F8 and get the the menu, but if i click safe mode, it freezes while loading, and no other options work. What can I do?. Sounds like it is corrupted. You can try reloading Windows, assuming you have the CD for it. If you have the restore disk you can boot to that and select the repair option. If your system has a built-in diagnosis try running a scan on the hard drive first to make sure it is OK.
