2. Does the machine boot up, ie do you get a windows splash screen?, even before that if you have bios enabled do you get any kind of display on the screen? If the answer to these two questions is no, then the screen may be dead.
If however there is a splash screen and you see stuff appear when the machine boots up, it could be yor graphics card.
Try to start the machine in safe mode: On bootup hit F8, set the graphics card resolution lower then see if the screen works. And uninstall the drivers that are causing the problem.
A loose connection or bad power supply. First check all cables and power cord to make sure they are are "seated" properly. If necessary unhook them and hook them back up again. Power back up. If the problem continues then the next culprit is probably your power supply. It has a short. Have it replaced. Do not power up a computer that has a defective power supply. Too many things can go wrong through electrical shortages.

Download the nvidia forceware drivers and use them, third party drivers generally arent as good as official ones.
More info: the monitor you are using and the operating system your computer is using. without this, theres a myraid of possible problems.
Maybe its not the right driver.
