Place in a sauce pan butter, coke, semi sweet baking square and bring to a boil remove from heat and add marshmallows and stir until all is blended and the marshmallows are disappear. Set aside to cool enough to tepid or room temperature.
In mixing bowl blend the shortening, oil, vanilla and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and buttermilk and beat until smooth. Mix flour with baking soda, cocoa, baking powder and salt, add half of flour mixture to shortening, egg mixture, and beat. Scrape bowl time to time to clean the sides off so ingredients are blended in batter. Add cooled coca cola mixture and beat. Add remainder of flour and beat until completely smooth about 3 - 4 minutes. Batter will be thick.
Place batter into a 13" x 9" x " 2 oiled and floured baking pan. Set pan on top shelf in a preheated 350 degrees oven for 35 - 40 minutes. Check for completed baking time with a toothpick. If the toothpick comes out clean by sticking in the middle of the cake it is time to come out of the oven and cool.
For Frosting: Cream butter, add cocoa, vanilla, Hershey's Syrup, and coca cola, beat until smooth. Add powder sugar a little at a time and beat constantly. Scrape the sides of bowl time to time to get all ingredients into the frosting. If the frosting seams a little dry add a little more coca cola and beat well.
Frost warm cake. Serve with natural vanilla bean ice cream and enjoy.

FOR THE CHEDDER CHICKEN BROCCOLI:
Broccoli Cheddar Chicken
Preheat oven to 325F.
Place boneless chicken breasts in greased pan in oven. Season according to your preference; I put lemon slices and squirts of lemon on them if I have them and adds great undertones to taste.
Cook until done (30-45 minutes on average; check them)
Meanwhile cook broccoli.
Crumble/crush Ritz crackers (or crackers of choice) and saute in a bit of butter.
Spread drained broccoli and Cracker crumbs all over on top of cooked chicken. Add grated cheese of choice.
Combine all except Coke and marshmallows. Blend at low speed until blended. Beat 1 minute at medium speed. Blend in coke and marshmallows. Bake in greased and floured sheet pan 40-40 min at 350 degrees
Frosting
1/3 cup margarine melted 1 box powdered sugar
1/3 cup coke 1 cup nuts
3Tbsp cocoa
Combine the first 4 ingredients. Stir in the nuts. Spread on hot cake that has been left in pan.
Hi Sophie, go to cooks.com and search for Coco Cola Cake. They do not specify that it is the one from Cracker Barrel but they do have 8 versions for you to try, one of them is bound to be it or close. As for the Cheddar, Chicken & Broccoli, they should have that one too.
I got food poisoning from that Old Country Store, where everything is jammed packed in the store with little stupid knick knacks all around with 55 people standing shoulder to shoulder waiting to eat Soft Chicken Noodles and potatoes. Believe me i'm on 29 if i want to eat nursing home food just shoot me now. Probably your recipe includes a lot of soupy broth, melted butter, vaseline, denture glue, diarrhea and some oatmeal with 3 cups of water.
