So I really really want to join a dance company, I was thinking of taking gymnastics over the summer and then taking beginner acro , lyrical type dance where I can be in a group and enter competitions. Like on the show dance moms? I'm turning 14 though is it too late for me? and if not then can you give suggestions because it will be my first time ever.

It is not too late to start yet - as long as you a prepared to put in an insane amount of work. I'm guessing by company you mean become a professional dancer? If that is the case dance competitions are not your friends, they are fun but will not help you with your goals. Enrol in classes in the styles you wish to pursue, but I would also recommend ballet as this is the core for evey dance form and pretty much all professionals have at least some
Basic training in it. You will need to be training pretty much every day to make up for lost time. Then you need to try and get into a pre professional school (best time being when you are supposed to be going sixth form / you would do this instead of college/sixt form) as companies do not even look at you if you do not have professional training. You need to put in a lot of hard work to do this, and you need to start immediately - do not begin in the summer with gymnastics, you'll need to jump straight in with ballet and other styles of dance many times a week.
If yo are looking just for recreational purposes though, just enrol in some classes (I would recommend ballet too) and just enjoy them! Good luck! :)
