Hi guys I have a dell e510 desktop that I've upgraded and I just ordered more ram an it came in yesterday, I had 2gb of ram but then I ordered another 2gb for a total of 4gb of ram. But my problem is that my computer is not reading the 4th ram stick, it only reads up to 3.0gb but when I install the 4th stick my desktop boots up but shows a blinking line and just sits there and won't even go to the dell screen. Can anyone help??

There could be a couple issues at hand. The manual for that particular PC is found here: ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_dimension_desktops/dimension-5150x_Owner%27s%20Manual_en-us.pdf
Read that starting at page 68. Make sure you got DDR2 RAM since it can't support DDR3. Also, it states that there may be issues with having 4 GB of RAM. They say not to pair existing memory with new memory (meaning by channel - there are two channels on your motherboard it sounds like). Also, each slot can only hold a 1 GB RAM stick. Consult that manual and see if anything doesn't seem to match up with what you have.
