I went to the dentist today to have a tooth checked out in hopes of just being able to get it pulled. He informed me I would need a bridge, My question is am I able to just get the tooth out now and then get the bridge later as long as I don't wait too long?

it depends on where the tooth that you want pulled is located. If it's in the front - you should do it sooner than later. If it is in the back of the mouth - you could probably last a while without it wouldn't help you keep the other teeth in line. A bridge is a lot of money so consider that as well.
