I am interested in working at a pedatrics care clinic, taking little kids temp. hieght, wieght etc. is there a certain name for this? i always thought t was a nurse but im not for sure.. also which is better occuplation between RN and LPN and not based on money.

The person who is working in the clinic taking vital signs, may not be a nurse at all but a medical assistant. However, over all , there are much more opportunities being a RN; although most RNs do not work in clinics just taking vital signs. RNs are needed for more complex care things.
In Hospitals if they employ LPN's they will do the same job as an RN especially if they are IV certified. They cannot IV push some medications like cardiac drugs. Some hospitals only use LPN's to pass medications. In nursing homes they will do the same job as RN's without the pay.
