Do Emergency Contraceptives work?
My bf and I had sex without condoms last Sept 14. It was a mistake, I know. We were too in-heat that time we didn't bother go out and buy some. So I took the first dose of EC after 3 hours and the second dose 18 hours after the first. It says that it should be taken after 12 hours, is it too late? I had to do some work that I wasn't able to take the 2nd one exactly on the 12th hour.
Additional info: My last mens was 16th Aug, I should've had mine yesterday. I have a history of irregular menstrual cycle but since June I get my mens regularly. I don't know what to do, we're not yet financially ready for a baby.

I am no expert, but I wouldn't think an additional 6 hours would make a huge difference. You could be late from simply stressing, or from being irregular like you stated you are. My advice, go get a test. It will easy your mind, or let you know if you all have some decisions to making. Remember, parenting isn't the only option. If you are pregnant and do not feel ready, speak with someone who can walk you through all of your options.
