Do Pharmacists get robbed a lot?
I would like to become a Pharmacist. It is my dream job (I know that's kind of a weird thing to want to be). I'm just really scared of getting mugged. I know there's bad people out there, who will do bad things to get what they want. All help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

A pharmacy is usually in the back of a store, if you're talking about a retail one, for example, at CVS. And most of them work like a bank—with thick glass and a little window that you hand the bag of medications to the patients.
It does happen, but someone who does that doesn't want money. They want the controlled drugs. By all mean, if it happens, just give it to them. Don't try to be a hero and fight them off. Years ago an inpatient floor that I worked got robbed (I was off that day!) - the nurse said to the robber, "Here are the keys! and she just walked away." Poor stupid thing didn't know how to open the narcotic box and by the time he got through, the police was there.
