I have a B.A. in psychology and would have to attend grad school if I want to continue in the field. I've always had a passion for helping others, and I think I would be good at helping children with family or school issues. I wonder what practitioners would recommend to someone like me. Are you a clinical psychologist? Did you have to get a master's or Psy.D/ Ph.D.?
How do you like the position? I'd appreciate any insights, suggestions. Thank you so much...
Update:what is the difference between a clinical psychologist and a psychotherapist?

No one here is a psychologist.
You're generally not going to get to practice unless you get a Ph.D. You can do some things with a Psy.D, but it's pretty limiting, especially compared to a Ph.D.
I have friends who are in the psychology field. One seems to like it, but he is a psychotherapist. The person I know who is a clinicial psychologist gets tired of it for the same reason I figured I would, i.e. listening to/helping people all the time when you rarely get the same treatment, plus sometimes you just don't feel like doing it.
