Does a tongue piercing make you drool a lot?
I had my tongue done yesterday, so it's still pretty swollen, so that may be the cause of the problem, but I'm noticing a lot more spit forming in my mouth and I'm having to swallow a lot more often!
Anyone know whether this is due to my swollen tongue or to having a piece of metal through it?

You might have contracted rabies.
I'd get tested if I were you.
It's probably from your tongue swelling, because of it being bigger, plus you have a little less control of it. Once the swelling goes down the drooling should subside. Good Luck.
You'll be fine in a couple days. It's just because it's swollen.
don't worry. you won't be a permanant drooler. you'll get used to having it in your mouth and of course the swelling will go down. in a couple of weeks you won't even notice you have it.
That is one of the reasons tongue peircing is or was associated w prostitution for oral sex. It increases production of saliva.
