Hi there, i put honda in the title as not many people would know the actual bike i have.. its actually a "Branson BM125 Custom" which is basically a chinese copy of the 2002 honda cm125 custom, its exactly the same apart from the name... but i was wondering about derestricting it... i know that it is illegal seeing as im only riding on a provisional cbt licence. but as long as i keep all original parts with serial numbers, there is no reason why i should be pulled over.. also, depending on what i do to it,, would i need to tell my insurance company about it.. i have heard that removing/modifying the exhausts and the jet in the carb is what i need to do but i would like some more insight to whether my bike is just built to put out a max of 12BHP or whether it is just restricted... if anyone can help in any way i will be very gratefull... thanks..

12 BHP is all you get..
no restrictions on the bike from the factory..
its a fast as its going to go...
small singles don't have a great top end speed... but putting better tires on it means you can get around corners quicker..
about the only mod that is of any use on a small bike..
Honda Cm 125 Custom
You're dreaming! It ISN'T restricted: It doesn't make enough power to require restricting in the first place.
