My 16 year old sister just recently told me that she cuts herself when she's upset. It worries me extremely. She had told me that she had used broken glass from a picture frame. She says that she keeps cutting herself with it because it makes her feel better. What scares me even more is that it may have lead in it. I'm not sure though. Can someone tell me if it does?. no it does not contain lead but she can get an infection from it still. my best friend used to cut herself. she needs to talk to a therapist. don't be too worried it's just her way of coping. most people who cut themselves actually have a lower suicide rate because instead of killing themselves they cut to cope with the pain. good luck and see if she'll talk about her problems with you.
