Hi there, I am a U.S Resident, I have a Green card and I live in Texas.
I was wondering, if it's possible for me to visit Canada for a few months by just having a green card and being able to come back? Or do I need a passport?
Thank you very much!

All you need to travel to and from Canada is your green card. You should also always keep a valid passport from your home country ( it is a requirement for permanent residents), but you do not need to use it to go to Canada. Also, it would not get you back into the U.S. Your green card is all you need. Any airline can confirm this. See site below and read section on U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents.
you need a passport.
