Ok, I bought the Elasta No Base Relaxer (not the kit) from an online store but didnt get activating liquid...so do i aboslutely need the activating liquid?

you need to get everything that is supposed to be in the kit.
take it back and explain to them. you might need it while using the kit.
*and the activitating liquid actually makes the perm usuable.
