You need a wiring diagram of the alternator and related circuitry to manually test all the wires and connections point to point to verify resistance readings before you install the new alternator. A good quality Digital Multimeter will be needed and some knowledge of how to use it. Find wiring diagrams in Chiltons and Motors manuals at your library and xerox them.
