Are they the same thing?
I know what Graphic Design is but the major that
Im looking at (Electronic Studio) really doesn't give ALOT of information or description of what it is. So is it the same thing or is it very similar?

From the description given in your link, the major has more parallels with New Media, Digital Illustration, Graphic Arts, or 3-D Illustration more so than Graphic Design. While graphic design does involve some illustration, what graphic designers are primarily asked to do is to deal with typography and layouts. Illustrations are often secondary in line when it comes to the responsibilities of graphic designers.
They sound pretty similar, but that sounds like a more artistic for of CADD, or atleast thats the impression i got from that little show thing above the text. I'm goin to school for Graphic Design and publishing next year. Thats graphic design that focuses on mainstream media and printed advertizing.
