This was the team that Francisco Palencia played with while in his brief stay in Spain. What are your thoughts. Apparently they want a speedy midfielder and after losing out on Pablo Barrera they are interested in Calderon.
Update:@Henry: I read it on ESPN Deportes website.

I think its a good move they got a refuerzo named Datolo played from Napoli for the left wing where Nestor Calderon plays in but they move that player to right wing and have Nestor play left wing there. If it works out than Nestor will go to Espanyol the good thing is more mexicans in europe to build our talent.
Yeah, just read the article on Sport.es. It's always good to have more Mexican players in Europe, especially attacking players, but I still have my doubts about the true quality of Calderon. After his hot start, he fell off a bit, so much so that he wasn't a titular in a few games that I saw of Toluca. I don't have any doubts about the ability of a guy like Barrera, his ability is there for everyone to see. But I'm still not convinced about Calderon.
But hey, I had SERIOUS doubts about El Maza when he left, and that seemed to work out well...
Apparently the position that Calderon plays in is already "taken" according to Record.

@ mc homie, espanyol is a stunning midtable crew @ aztec soldier, barcelonas backline isnt set in any respect. they ought to improvise with Mascherano and Busquets as center backs even as Puyol isnt there.
Another good move for a Mexican player, and it's also good that they're young, hopefully he can start as titular
where did u see this??
