got a DVD player? If so buy some exercise DVD's or mix tracks music Cd's. Dance through the house & do work out DVD's at home. If you have comcast cable they have exercise tv on demand you can go in and do all different types of stuff belly dancing, yoga pilates, different cultural dances its really good stuff.
For your situp question lye in your bed flat on your back and hold you legs up feet pointed to the ceiling with your hands under your but, lower your legs in a slow controlled motion not allowing the back of your legs to touch the the bed. They are tough but it works your entire stomach without putting too much stess on your back do as many as you can in the mornings when you wakeup and then at night before you go to bed and each week try and increase the number you did the week before. That will definetly flatten your stomach out as well as stregthen your core muscles.
Great job on your 50lbs stay motivated and healthy don't over exert yourself health 1st
Unless you're in the Yukon, its not too cold to walk. I run year round in the Chicago area, and there are only a few days out of the year that its not possible, either because of ice, or extreme cold. Its permissible to wear clothes when you walk. Dressed properly, you can be comfortable down to 0°F or even a little below.
i would say to get a treadmill to run of your abs. i used to run cross country and i had a six pack flab before i started running. after the season was over i didn't have a six pack but the flab was gone!!!!!!!!!!
