It's my first time in college and I've applied to financial aid in November 2012 for the spring term in January 2013. How many times a year can I apply? Someone told me it was once than I was told it was twice.

when you complete your taxes, you can do the application for 2013-2014 using your 2012 tax info
The November app was for the 2012-2013 academic year. Typically, you will only complete the FAFSA once a year, after it becomes available January 1. Right now, you need to complete the 2013-2014 application, www.fafsa.gov for Fall 2013/Spring 2014 funding. Don't forget to apply for private scholarships too. You can use several free online tools to locate available programs. I suggest ScholarshipExperts.com and Schoolsoup.com
