The top three languages I want to learn are Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. Yes, I know Chinese is VERY hard. I chose to learn Chinese first because I am friends with a Native-Chinese Speaker(she moved here from China last year, I think.) and it would be fun to someday speak to her in chinese more than just a simple phrase.

I told her about an amazing and highly rated software I found(Rocket Chinese), but it's like a hundred dollars to download. My friend(my friend who is Chinese) suggested FLVS. But I don't know if it is any good.

If you take or have taken the Chinese(1-3) courses on FLVS, can you please tell me your opinions on it and the pros and cons?
