I was wondering what your thoughts on joining the French Foreign Legion or the British Royal Marines Commandos were. The reason I ask is because I want to soldier as a career. Haven't heard much about either and I've googled the snaught out of both but I was hoping to find some people that have 'been there, done that.' to help me explore my options. A little background on me: I'm Canadian, 200 lbs, physically fit and looking for an adventure, a challenge, and a chance to do the right thing.

gunner rossco were given it accurate inclusive of his answer that is more suitable then most of the answerer's did,i'm afraid you recognize little of why the FFL battles you element out were lost,it had no longer some thing to do with the legions skill to strive against yet more suitable to do with overwhelming enemy numbers and undesirable officials ,related to the mutiny you communicate with this modification into no longer a mutiny that in touch the legion as an total,by way of at present's criteria no longer many instruments that call themselves elite might want to compete with the legions own person-friendly education route,as for the conflict of camaron, once again numerically the legion were out numbered at odds of 14 to at least a million at the same time as the conflict change into at its top, this conflict will be alikened to the Alamo, the perfect Texas had to provide might want to no longer contain the Mexicans via a numerically higher military, does this propose that the individuals were lesser combating adult men ,i dont imagine so,change into the conflict of Arnhem bridge a failure because the British military were no longer ok,i dont imagine so,seem on the reason why before ripping aside a prominent regiment.
