Hi everyone,
I don't have any friends. (Really, not even one.) I'm also going through something that's really painful to me. I want to get my mind off of it.
What are some activities I can do on my own? I do have some money to spend, but not loads!
I live in NY state - the weather is still cold and snowy here. I take my pup for a walk everyday, but that's about all I do outside. So indoor activities are preferable, unless you have some good suggestions!

If you're into art/craft at all, here are some suggestions:
Check out all the different crafts at Craftster.org. The site covers a *huge* range of different crafts from simple to more complex, and most of the members are teens and young women. (Joining the site is free too if you want to be able to ask questions or make comments as well as just reading and looking at pics/lessons/etc).
....You can see a few examples from each board (in alphabetical order) here to get a general idea of all the stuff they have at the whole site:

....But *all* their main craft forums will be listed down on the right on this page:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php (be sure and click on each board there to see all the sub-boards under it as well)

Create your own projects, for eg. a scrapbook for the year that you can look back on. Or other fun goals that you can personally learn from and enjoy. I'd start off with making a list of everything you find fun, everything you are curious about, everything you'd like to experience and learn about, and see what you can do with what you have where you are. You are in nyc..which gives you so many opportunities around you. I also suggest joining meet-up groups of your interest. Great way to get out, do new things, and meet new people. You can even create your own activities or even a group (based on any topic of your choice) and invite others to join. If driving/traveling is not much of a problem, then I'd venture out and experience new places I'd like to see, or events I'd like to attend. Who knows, you may end up making a great friend, if you venture out. Be safe, and have a good time.
Go to walmart and buy some cheap modeling clay, that's always fun! Look in the mirror and draw yourself, or go on youtube and watch Pewdiepie. He always cheers me up when I'm down. Also, I'll be your friend if that ins't to creepy. lol
You can make cloth bows, headphone cases (out of altoid mint boxes), mini things... or you can always buy like a Martha Stewart craft kit, I never finish them but you should give it a try, you might like them.
