Im getting all of my wisdom teeth out in august and um scared ill say things I don't want too. I've smoked alot the past couple of months and im scared ill reveal it.
I POST THIS MESSAGE BECAUSE I FEEL IT IS WRONG TO USE A DRUG
THAT CAUSES PEOPLE TO NOT REMEMBER WHAT WAS DONE TO THEM!!
If it was me I would not let them use the drug
Versed ( Midazolam ) for the procedure.
In fact, many people who use Versed for " IV Sedation,Conscious Sedation" during a procedure are awake for the entire procedure but remember nothing, often believing they were "out" the whole time.
Versed (Midazolam) is an amnestic. It is also commonly used for minor procedures like setting broken bones.endoscopies, colonoscopies dental procedures like extractions, conscious sedation, twilight sleep, so that patients won't remember pain and discomfort.HOWEVER THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT THOSE SENSATIONS WILL NOT BE EXPERIENCED!!!!Forgetting does no mean it did not happen!! Amnesia does NOT take place for some patients.
Here is a note from a Dentist Who uses Versed
I've used Versed 1000+ times during oral surgery procedures and I've never had a complaint. It's a miracle drug because it is safe and it causes you to not remember an unpleasant experience.
A message I saw from an anesthesiologist...
I usually give a drug that makes people forget before I give the drug that puts them out, so my patients usually don't remember ..
My answer to both of them would be I would not want to have forgotten,I would rather not have
Haha dont worry about it. The majority of the stuff you say will just be random mumbling that is hard to understand plus with all the gauze they put in your mouth you wont be able to announciate anything properly.
