Any service of this kind is only as good as the people who use it. I wouldn't use it for something that obviously needed emergency treatment and a visit to A&E, eg suspected stroke, heart attack, severe bleeding or breathing difficulty. And neither would I go to A&E if I had a cough or sore throat. As far as I see it the service will stand or fall by how good a job is done of people being encouraged to use it for what it is intended for which is giving you advice on self help for minor problems.
