Here are some thoughts from someone who was married in Jamaica and have traveled also to Mexico and the DR.

Jamaica has some nice places to hang out on the beach, fun "tours" for zip lining and such. One very wild resort if your up for it is Hedonism II. Lots of cool ppl to hang out with. This is where we stay when in Jamaica for the party. Sandals is a kick back be "into"your love for a few days kind a place where your going to head for bed by 10

Mexico along the south coast has a number of nice places for a little less. Also a hang out with your love only kinda place. Tulum has a resort next door and where I would go if we ever go back.

The DR. Punta Cana. You fly in, have your transport arranged before you arrive. Zip off to your resort in a very short amount of time. Our trip a cpl of weeks ago from landing to in our room less then an hour. 5 star resorts for less money. We stayed in the adult Beach part of Barcelo Premium resort with the Premium package upgrade and loved it. We will go back. Loved being treated so well there.
