For the last couple of days I couldn't get my 1990 buick riviera to crank. When I try to start the car nothing happens but I do hear a click under the dash like a relay or umthing the security light come on.
The things i did
Had the battery and starter checked at autozone both good
I read my key with a multimeter then measure with the key in the ignition from the wires from the ignition switch and got the same reading 0.86
What coud be the problem? I have a 1990 buick riviera

bad starter, auto zone tests do not indicate a bad starter solinoid, ie; dead spot
"usa boy" is on the appropriate song.I wager the connections on the battery are corroded or unfastened.additionally examine the super black "floor" cable from battery to the place it grounds on the chassis.A crummy floor might have you ever chasing electric powered gremlins all day.A voltmeter will remedy some issues.a stable battery will teach 12 to fourteen volts,11 volts or much less ability undesirable cellular or inner short.while the hot starter replaced into put in,replaced into the connections tight? Are they nevertheless tight and sparkling?
