Okay, here is how it is. I'm going into highschool in a year. It just so happens to be a Magnet school centering around the arts. I personally am a writer and creative artist. But to get into the school I must make a portfolio. And honestly, I have no clue how to do that! I need to get the portfolio in a few months in advance and I have enough time but I am absolutely cleuless when it comes to this stuff! Somebody please tell me what to do!

Do you have to have a certain format? Ask the school for their expectations/ standards. My son has a large portfolio cas with paintings, drawings etc. He uses it mostly to demonstrate his range of technique and creativity, his style. My daughter has a couple of portfolios, which she keeps in zippered notebooks. Hers are based upon projects she has designed and implemented. They began as class assignments and now she uses them for job interviews.
The site below is an article about creating e-portfolios. That is what I am having my students create. During the year they transfer final drafts, scan pictures, save digital pictures etc. to Cd, organized into general files.
