I've just bought a Honda Civic Lsi 1994 and it is running a little rich. What im looking for is the adjuster for the fuel mixture. Can anyone tell me where this is located in the engine?
Update:it isnt fuel injected, its a carb engine. We have cleaned the rotor arm and checked air filters and plugs. As i say, the plugs have black rings signifiying rich mixture of fuel. Although we appreciate it might not be that.

its most likely your o2 sensor thats making it run rich. it is Fuel injected your talking about the rotor arm that would be a distributer. my suggestion is to first throw a new set of plugs in and go from there. If plugs are fouled bad enough your car will not start it happend to me I highly reccomend NGK spark plugs.
It is fuel injected, you can't adjust the air/fuel mixture it takes readings off of your exhaust gases using the oxygen sensor and the car's computer adjust the air/fuel mixture accordingly. What makes you think it is running rich?
Fill up the rest of the tank with normal gas to help dilute the oil in the 2-stroke, it should be fine but dont be surprised if your exhuast has blue smoke in it.
you have a 02 sensor, map sensor, but in the end it's automatic, take it to autozone and have them ck the trouble codes and it will narrow down your problem.
