I know this is shocking... but it's DIET AND EXERCISE!
Now, it is MUCH more complicated than that but it's essentially all you have to do. Increase your exercising, (makesure you have a decent exercise plan and definitly at least 6/7 days of the week).
Your diet doesn't have to be different if you just cut down on how much you eat but it really doesn't hurt to swap foods for lite versions or fat-free versions.
ALSO VERY IMPORTANT***.... DRINK WATER. 8-12 cups a day. Really. Keep a waterbottle on you at all times and continually drink.
I would cut MOST (not all) junk food out of your diet though just because those make it really hard for you to want to continue to make healthier choices. It's also just not worth it. Make a decent plan and also make sure you keep a food diary/journal at all costs. Either use an online source, an app for your smartphone or ipod touch, or just a simply manually written one (although an app or website would make things a lot easier) it's manageable.
Well a basic form of exercise is walking-and it can help with everything. Dancing too, and you don't have to sign up for a class, just random dancing to a song or something every movement counts! Oh and negative emotions can make a person gain weight...so just remember to stay happy!
