I've been trying to record the audio from my computer while also recording sound from a microphone. I don't want to install anything new, so I have gone for using a couple audio jack splitters. I've got a splitter in each jack (headphone and microphone) and have plugged a wire that connects one side of the headphone splitter and one side of the microphone splitter (wire with male end on both sides). I also have a microphone attached to the other side of the microphone splitter and a pair of headphones plugged into the other side of the headphones splitter. I can't get a decent amount of sound from the microphone. Can anyone help (if I explained this well)? I don't want to install any new drivers, programs, etc to do this.
Update:Forgot to add: I DO NOT HAVE STEREO MIX! Everyone says "Turn on stereo mix" and I don't have stereo mix, and I don't want to install anything new.
