download the recovery disk and burn it to a writable cd/dvd using an image burner, use it to re-install your system as new.

u have to boot the computer with the vista dvd disc inside the dvd drive. a window appears prompting you to choose whether to install or repair the computer, choose repair and then a wizard appears asking for the type of restoration. select restore to the original factory settings and proceed with wizard..
Try taping f7 or f11 at start up
use your recovery disks or your recovery partition
