You can close your Y!A account by:

*Go to your profile:

*Remove all your fans

*Delete all your open Q&A

Edit your info:

*Remove or change your nickname

*Change your picture to 'No Picture'

*Don't show your mail ID and don't allow other users to mail you

*Don't allow other users to be your fans. It will remove all you current fans as well.

*Hide your Q&A's and YA Network (Contacts & Fans)

*Erase all you have written in 'About Me'

*Preview and then Save

Remember: Even if you delete your account, your question and answers will remain on here and can be seen by other users.

❶ Your yahoo account comes as a package and can only be deleted as a whole. However once your questions and answers go to the vote or resolved they become the property of yahoo and stay in yahoo archive available for searching and browsing and only the yahoo team can remove them. But you can make them invisible with the following steps.

✖ Blank out your avatar to the grey silhouette.

✖ Change your nickname or just leave it blank.

✖ Close any links to your ''My profile'' and email.

✖ Delete your open questions and answers.

✖ Set your Network and Q&A to private.

✖ Delete your contacts and fans. To delete fans block then unblock.

❷ Then just leave it. After you've applied the alterations no search will find your Q&A,s. You can then close that yahoo account and open a new one if you want.
